Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and VAPortfolio ("we", "us") for using vaportfolio.com. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

The service

VAPortfolio lets virtual assistants and other freelancers build and publish a portfolio page at vaportfolio.com/me/username. You can create and publish a portfolio for free. We may also offer optional paid features; their price will be shown clearly before you buy, and you'll never be charged for anything you haven't chosen to pay for.

VAPortfolio Pro

• Price and billing: Pro is a yearly subscription, paid by card in US dollars through our payment provider. The price is shown before you pay.
• Renewal: Pro renews automatically every year until you cancel. We'll email you before each renewal.
• Founding price: if you subscribe at a founding price, you keep that price for as long as your subscription renews without a break. If it ends and you subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
• Cancelling: you can cancel at any time. Pro stays on until the end of the year you've paid for, and won't renew after that.
• Refunds: you can ask for a full refund within 48 hours of any payment, including a renewal, by emailing us. After 48 hours, payments can't be refunded, except where the law requires it.
• When Pro ends: your portfolio stays online on the free plan. Nothing is deleted; anything beyond the free plan's limits is hidden, and it comes back if you upgrade again.
• Changes: we may improve or change Pro features over time. If we change the price, we'll tell you before it affects you.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Give a real email address and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person, one account. Don't create accounts for other people without their permission.

Your content

You own everything you add to your portfolio. You give us permission to store it, show it on your portfolio page and in link previews, and make the copies needed to run the service. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You promise that what you publish is true and that you have the right to publish it. In particular:

• Testimonials must be real and from real clients. Don't invent or edit reviews to change their meaning.
• Only use photos, logos and screenshots you own or have permission to use, and don't share clients' confidential information.
• Only list certifications, results and experience you actually have.

What's not allowed

Don't use VAPortfolio to publish or do anything that is illegal, misleading, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that pretends to be another person or business. Don't send spam, try to break or overload the service, or access other people's accounts. Usernames that impersonate others or are offensive may be changed or removed.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep VAPortfolio running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can save your content.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. This permanently deletes your portfolio and uploaded images. If you have Pro, deleting your account also cancels it; the refund rule above still applies. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

VAPortfolio is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, lost business or lost profits from using the service, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months (or zero, if you haven't paid us anything). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell you by email or in your dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use VAPortfolio after that means you accept the new terms.
